December 2025 Highlight: FIRMS Networking
FIRMS is a network and one of its strengths is the willingness of its members to share experience and expertise. During a recent visit to Australia, Dr Sheau Wei Ong from the Forensics Centre of Expertise, HTX (Home Team Science and Technology Agency) was invited to visit IRMS facilities at the Australian Federal Police (Canberra) and the Public and Environmental Health Reference Laboratories (Queensland Health) to discuss IRMS methodologies together with allied and ancillary techniques (like it says in our Mission Statement). All parties agreed that these were productive exchanges fostering potential future cooperation and collaboration in the southern hemisphere.
